The article mentions that ProShop’s goal at IMTS 2018 was to “debut a new generation of shop management software”. A big topic for this article had to do with the differences between ProShop and other management systems. For example, ProShop embraces a completely paperless and 100% electronic method of managing business. Further, while traditional ERP’s are used mainly for “front office” activities, ProShop incorporates MES, QMS, monitoring and collection capabilities like tracking machine utilization, cutting tool management, media-rich work instructions and part inspection data. To manage the shops QMS, ProShop offers an integrated, comprehensive set of modules such as ISO 9000, AS9100, API and ISO 13485. Among these include standards, equipment, users, training, audit reports, non-conformance reports and corrective actions. Additionally ProShop can be hosted on the cloud or on-premise. Paul Van Metre, co-founder of ProShop, wraps up these benefits by adding “Typically, ProShop can replace five to six other software packages that companies use and that frequently do not communicate with each other.” [/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Read Full Article” style=”custom” custom_background=”#f98e2b” custom_text=”#ffffff” size=”sm” align=”left” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-circle-right” css_animation=”fadeInUp” add_icon=”true” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.virtualonlineeditions.com%2Fpublication%2F%3Fi%3D537198%26ver%3Dhtml5%26p%3D73|title:Contact%20Us|target:%20_blank|” css=”.vc_custom_1563839617054{margin-bottom: 2em !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” css_animation=”fadeInUp” accent_color=”#cccfcf”][vc_column_text]About Manufacturing News:
